How do I join Moms In Motion?

Do I have to be a Mom to be a Mom In Motion (MIM)?
No, we have many members who aren't mothers. Our group welcomes all women.

Do I have to commit to a certain number of practices? What if I miss a practice?
We all have busy lives, so we all understand everyone can't make all the practices. We'll miss you and look forward to seeing you the next time.

Am I too old to be a MIM?
We're sure you're not. We have members of all ages.

What if I've never run or exercised before?
A lot of us started where you are now. We'll help you ease in to a program that works for you. If you're not ready to run, our Pittsford practices include a walking group to get you started.

I'm a slow runner, will anyone be my speed?
We have runners of all abilities. There's always someone happy to share your pace.

I'm not sure I know how to run. Will someone help me?
Yes!  Our walk/run program will have you "up & running" in no time!

I have a baby, can I bring her in a stroller to practice?
Sure, if it works for you, it works for us.

I have always thought of running a marathon, but I don't know how to train for one, can you help?
Our members have a wide variety of experience. If you're interested in running your first 5k, 10k, half or full marathon, we're here to help. Same goes for triathlons!

Do I have to race?
No, many of our members choose not to race, but we think having goals helps us stay committed.

I don't want to be last, will I have to run by myself?
No, you won't. No MIM gets left behind!
